Evolutions

Restrictions
- [provenrun] rpmb-status is not working on kernel 4.14.
- SMS command remove operator doesn't receive response when it's OK.
- SMS manager command doesn't work on sierra_0 on Dual WAN iBTS.
- Kernel errors when using fixnetwork.
- Hw reset failed on extusb with fixnetwork.
- Update status is in error for all package if only one package is wrong.

Compatibility
Hardware
- Fully compatible with Wirnet iBTS ATc03 architecture and above.
- Partially compatible with Wirnet iBTS ATa01 and ATb02 architecture (issue with reset Button).
Software
- Compatible with Wirnet iBTS products with Kerlink Production fuses or without any fuses flashed.
- Simple update (
keros.ipk) incompatible with 1.x or 2.x firmwares → Use of liveburner packages is MANDATORY - ProvenCore firmware and utilities (uploader) changed as of v3.1.0, and files to be uploaded to the ProvenCore have to be processed by
pnrcipherbefore uploading.
Delivery
The firmware is released in two formats: KerOS: and Liveburner.
These have a very different behavior, so please use the appropriate file before updating.
KerOS package
- Does not reset the password
- Does not erase the user partition
- Does not update the stock restore version
- Creates
-opkgfiles if a configuration file has been previously modified. More information here
Liveburner package
- Updates stock restore version with FW 3.4.4.
- Resets the default password on your gateway.
- Erases the whole partition to reinstall the firmware.

Due to multiple changes in eMMC layout, 3.x.y and 1.x.y firmwares ARE NOT compatible.
liveburner_legacy is the ONLY package able to upgrade from 1.x.y to 3.x.y.
In order to update from 1.x.y firmware, please contact support@kerlink.fr.
